Healing takes time, and that’s okay.

It’s something I wish I had known sooner—something I wish I could have told my younger self when I was in the depths of pain, unsure of how I would ever find my way out. Whether it’s from heartbreak, the loss of a loved one, or a deep disappointment, emotional wounds don’t heal overnight. The scars aren’t easily erased, and the process of healing doesn’t follow a neat, predictable timeline. Adulthood has taught me that healing is a journey, not a race. I’ve learned that it’s okay to feel the weight of the pain, to acknowledge that it’s there, and to honor the time it takes for my heart to mend. Healing is a deeply personal process—there’s no right way to do it, and certainly no wrong amount of time it should take. But there is one thing I’ve come to understand: you can’t rush it. The Weight of Emotional Wounds When we experience emotional pain, it often feels like a heavy burden, a weight that we can’t shake off. We might find ourselves searching for ways to heal quickly, thinking that...

I just want to take a moment to express how incredibly grateful I feel after finally getting the keys to our new home! It’s such an amazing feeling to have a place to call our own, a space where we can truly be ourselves and build a life together. Every corner of this house holds the promise of new memories—laughter, love, and everything in between. I can already envision cozy nights, celebrations with friends and family, and quiet mornings sipping coffee in our new kitchen. This journey to homeownership has been filled with excitement, anticipation, and a few challenges, but it has all been worth it. I’m so thankful for everyone who has supported us along the way—your encouragement means the world to us. Here’s to this beautiful new chapter in our lives, filled with endless possibilities and cherished moments. I can’t wait to see what memories we’ll create in this wonderful home!

go girl

I see you buzzing around. I see your mind racing even when your physical body may stop for a brief moment. I see you. I want to hold your hands tightly, guide you to my bedroom, and I want us to sit down for a talk. It’s not about anything bad; you’re not in trouble. I want you to be inspired after we are finished today. But, I also want you to rest. You being exhausted by the end of everyday, day after day does not serve anyone well. I know you’re doing your best. I know you’re giving it your all. I know you’re trying to live up to the potential people have always seen in you and talked about. I know you’re trying to make a difference to change the world and not waste any bit of your life. I also understand that you doubt yourself every single day that you don't even know what you’re doing, or even if you’re devoting your time to the right cause. But, doing something has to be better than nothing. Right? WRONG! That’s the biggest downfall you’re going to come across. Buzzi...

For my girlfriend (remember this when life hits you hard)

You mean the world to me. And I'm not trying to be cheesy or just saying this because I can. I'm saying it because I mean it. You make every day so much brighter and I seriously have no idea how I dealt with life before you. You have been in my life now for years and I couldn't thank you enough for loving me for who I am and always being here for me. But I also want you to know I am always here for you. I want you to know that things will get hard in life and at times you will feel alone. You will want to give up and quit because things are just so overwhelming but please don't. Things will be okay, and I will always be here for you when things get hard. But I just want you to know you are an amazing woman and I never want you to lose faith in yourself when things get hard. Because you have such an amazing life ahead of you. You have so much to accomplish and you can't do those things if you give up. Your future is going to be so bright if you always remember what y...

Are you feeling stressed?

It's been a long time since I haven't posted anything in a while as I have been busy with work and stuff (or just plain lazy). Anyway, here are some tips that I stumbled upon while browsing Facebook which I think will help those who stumble upon this blog on managing stress. Especially in this fast-paced in generation where everything seems automatic and everything seems to be in our reach (thanks to technology), this is quite helpful. So here it is: Always take time for yourself. At least 30 minutes per day. Be aware of your own stress meter. Know when to step back and cool down. Concentrate on controlling your own situation, without controlling everybody else. Daily exercise will burn off the stress chemicals. Eat lots of fresh fruit, veggies, bread and water. Give your body the best for it to perform at its best. Forgive others, don't hold grudges and be tolerant -- not everyone is as capable as you. Gain perspective on things. How important is the issue? Hugs, kisses ...

IT'S THE WEEKEND AGAIN

Embracing Nostalgia with Awareness: A Journey Through the Past to Find Peace in the Present I try to keep my sense of nostalgia in check by grounding it in reality. As much as the “good old days” have a certain charm, I remind myself that not everything about the past was as rosy as it seems. Sure, some moments hold warmth, but there were also countless challenges and struggles. It’s easy to romanticize yesterday, but if we’re honest, many of those days weren’t actually so good—they just feel that way through the lens of time. We all carry both happy and sad memories. Life’s journey is a mix of highs and lows, successes and setbacks. Those tough experiences are essential; they help us learn and grow, shaping us into the people we are. But sometimes, we get stuck on specific memories, either cherishing or resenting them, and that’s where it’s helpful to take a closer look. I’ve found that understanding my role in these moments brings me clarity. I ask myself, “Did my pride or ego ...

Just plain toxic!

It all started when I was in the middle of a rocky relationship, that phase where you’re just not sure if things can be saved. And that’s when he walked in (Dran)—seemingly perfect, just the right blend of mystery and charm, always smelling great, with a sense of humor that kept me smiling. He made me feel special, like I was the only girl in his world. But little did I know, I was stepping right into a maze of red flags, neon-bright and flashing in the skies like fireworks. At first, I brushed them off, thinking I could "open his mind" or help him grow. But sometimes, no matter how much you try, people aren’t willing to change. Soon, his true nature surfaced, wrapped up in jealousy and possessiveness. At first, he said it was because he was "protective" and “not secure about the people around me.” He’d get upset if I wanted to go out with friends, made excuses for why I should stay home, and got suspicious of anything that wasn’t centered around him. His jealousy t...
