Something Undefined TWO..

You know that feeling when you're just out with friends, enjoying the vibe at some bar, and then you unexpectedly click with someone? That happened to me. Days passed, and I’d all but forgotten about the encounter—until a random message popped up on my phone.

“Hey, I looked for you on FB. Remember me?”

For a split second, I was totally thrown. "Remember you? Nope!" I shot back, teasingly. He hit me back with a confused “What?” and I couldn’t help myself—I laughed and texted, “Just kidding! Wassup?”

From there, the conversation just took off.

We found ourselves talking about music, digging into songs that not everyone knows—hidden gems that have been soundtracking our lives. One title after another, we tossed out song suggestions, getting lost in the meaning behind each lyric. He introduced me to a song that had this hauntingly beautiful melody, one I’d never have found on my own, and in return, I shared a track that practically had my soul woven into it. The conversation just kept going, one song leading into the next, unraveling memories and stories I hadn’t shared with anyone in a long time.

Our texts became an unplanned marathon, stretching through the day and into the night. It’s amazing how you can meet someone out of nowhere, only to connect through the things that matter most: words, sounds, and the memories they evoke.

There I was, casually texting, when my phone suddenly rang and I couldn't help but feel a bit of a thrill. The second I heard his voice, I was kilig. He had this soft, easygoing tone that instantly made me smile.

“Hey, you busy?” he asked.

Playing it cool, I replied, “Yo, not really. Ano meron?”

"Cool, kinda bored. Did you eat?”

We ended up talking about nothing and everything, laughing and trading stories, with him casually dropping in a playlist. Somewhere in the background, I heard Infatuated by Memphis Bleek, and it just fit the mood perfectly. That beat? That late-night vibe? He knew exactly what he was doing.

Hours passed, and I didn’t even notice until I looked at the clock. It was 2 AM, and before I knew it, he was saying, “I’m kinda hungry—want to grab a bite?”

Caught off guard, I asked, “Now?” But he didn’t miss a beat. “Yeah, I’ll pick you up,” he replied, ready to go.

I laughed, feeling that late-night excitement, but somehow wasn't quite up for it. “Rain check?” I asked, but he wasn’t having it.

“Nah,” he chuckled. “Get ready—I’ll pick you up for an early breakfast.”

And with that, I couldn’t help but wonder: what’s coming next with this guy who’s got me kilig at 2 in the morning?

So, after that late-night call and a whole lot of playful hesitation, I finally got ready and sent him my address. I wasn’t too nervous about it—I knew some of his friends, so it felt safe, and I even shot a quick message to my friend, just to let them know where I was heading. Next thing I knew, he was outside, and we were on our way.

We ended up at Red Lions in Upper Session, just in time for an "early breakfast" at 3 AM. It was exactly the kind of place that matched the vibe—warm, low-lit, and just right for that midnight-to-morning energy. We ordered a good old breakfast to kick things off, but one thing led to another, and someone suggested a beer. One beer turned into another, and suddenly, we’d turned our early breakfast into an all-night (and all-morning) marathon.

It was one of those nights you just don’t plan. We talked about everything and nothing, laughing until our stomachs hurt, sharing stories like we’d known each other forever. The hours blurred together, and before we knew it, we were sitting there, totally wrecked, but also buzzing from the vibe—and realizing it was already noon. Crazy doesn’t even cover it.

Sometimes, the best moments are the ones that sneak up on you, unplanned and totally out of nowhere. All I know is that when we finally said our goodbyes, it felt like one of those nights I’d look back on and laugh about for years.
