🌺 Through It All B 🌺

Life has a way of surprising us. Sometimes it’s the little moments, the ones you’d never expect to matter, that end up transforming you. And for me, that surprise was my best friend, Rej, whom I call Brandie. Our story started in 2008 or 2009 when she was dating someone I knew. It's funny now, but back then, She thought I might’ve been too close to her then-boyfriend, who, let’s just say, had a bit of a "player" streak. But life has a way of taking the unexpected and turning it into something amazing. That day, any doubts faded as soon as we met face to face. We clicked instantly, like pieces of a puzzle finding their fit, and our bond formed naturally and effortlessly, as if we’d been friends forever. That moment marked the beginning of a friendship that would stand the test of time.

From the start, Rej and I were inseparable. We shared everything, from our silliest stories to our deepest fears. Our friendship was filled with laughter, late nights, and endless conversations. We’d take random road trips, crash every party in sight, and spend hours just being together, doing absolutely nothing but enjoying each other's company. She welcomed me into her space and my family became her family. Together, we built a world where I felt genuinely accepted, supported, and, most importantly, safe. In Rej, I found a friend who truly got me.

When I look back on those days, what amazes me most is the way Rej always looked out for me. I was young, wild, and often a little reckless, but she was there, always watching over me with a chill way that I sometimes lacked. She was steady, rational, and supportive in a way that no one else was. If she saw me veering off track, she wouldn’t scold or judge; instead, she’d tell me the truth, offering advice with a level of compassion and patience that made it easy to listen. And she did this because she genuinely wanted the best for me. She’d let me make my mistakes, knowing that I’d learn from them, but always ready to help me pick myself up if I fell.

As we transitioned from our carefree days into adulthood, our friendship only deepened. Life shifted, and suddenly, we were dealing with real responsibilities, hard choices, and the challenges that come with growing up. Our priorities changed, and yet our bond remained. Rej had always dreamed of becoming a mother and creating a family of her own. Coming from a broken family, like I did, I understood her dream deeply. She wanted to create the love and stability she’d missed, and watching her work towards that goal has been nothing short of inspiring. She’s thriving, pouring her heart into becoming the person she’s always wanted to be, a mother, a friend, and a constant source of light for those around her.

What’s even more incredible is that, despite all the changes, Rej’s loyalty and support have never wavered. She’s been there through my worst and celebrated with me at my best. There are times when I look at myself and realize that I wouldn’t be the person I am today if it weren’t for her presence in my life. She taught me about loyalty, kindness, and the importance of standing by the people you love, no matter what. Rej has shown me what it means to have someone who will stick by you through every high and low, every wrong turn, and every moment of triumph.

Together, we’ve navigated the rollercoaster of life, from heartbreaks and mistakes to the joyous moments that make it all worth it. Through her, I’ve learned the value of forgiveness, of being there without question, and of building someone up without trying to change them. Our friendship is a reminder that true friends don’t just see you for who you are; they see you for who you can become and encourage you every step of the way.

So, this is for you, Rej. Thank you for being my best friend, my support system, and my family. Thank you for every laugh, every late-night conversation, every bit of advice, and for being my anchor when life felt too heavy. I’m grateful for the memories we’ve made, and I look forward to all the ones we’ll create as we keep growing together. Here’s to many more years of friendship, growth, laughter, and unconditional support. Life may keep changing, but as long as we have each other, I know we’ll get through anything.

To many more memories, and to the irreplaceable friendship we share.
